I've been busy with everyday life. I recently painted my bedroom and changed the bedding. I like how it turned out. I was going to change to a colonial/primitive look but my husband wanted me to go with a cowboy/western feel.priley65http://www.blogger.com/profile/12597272004022821091noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5573552245706023662.post-46342060473673734342011-10-05T14:33:00.000-07:002011-10-05T14:33:32.548-07:00October in Nebraska<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4mfd5Qnrnw-nSTMmXbS7ah1RX5qafsT23p7tEVH3hBk-Cbq8FGFe5o9MfAzGeHcrfd0wJMNZpCyDpUOeUQ4E0JOJ7VewYj0JlkibDlIzXHZMPsfsaIxiL-jtBrUFyaaRm3ozQxpJSkkkD/s1600/steve_cornfield_gd.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4mfd5Qnrnw-nSTMmXbS7ah1RX5qafsT23p7tEVH3hBk-Cbq8FGFe5o9MfAzGeHcrfd0wJMNZpCyDpUOeUQ4E0JOJ7VewYj0JlkibDlIzXHZMPsfsaIxiL-jtBrUFyaaRm3ozQxpJSkkkD/s320/steve_cornfield_gd.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>Happy Fall everyone. October has brought cooler temps for Nebraska, which is a welcome relief from the 100 plus days we were having. The wind has been blowing excessively for the past two days bringing down many, many leaves. I love trees but I hate raking leaves. I've started collecting and searching for another set of yellow ware bowls with blue and white bands. I've gotten four so far. Half the fun is in the hunt. I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather.priley65http://www.blogger.com/profile/12597272004022821091noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5573552245706023662.post-480489381856185102011-08-28T11:48:00.000-07:002011-08-28T11:48:27.662-07:00<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhV5ajYMT0IBEpkUR6ZNmFg23nPZ2XkMG5OhAhvBzBW8Znm5hce0ELwkfMh5KenB74q_X4pNhtZ4lCmrX5WlIjA171zYlvLEPCUYlbT1sqnj9-dVk0hkMYMrUMHa4DaRwMhPoIREkWrG8iw/s1600/dry+sink.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhV5ajYMT0IBEpkUR6ZNmFg23nPZ2XkMG5OhAhvBzBW8Znm5hce0ELwkfMh5KenB74q_X4pNhtZ4lCmrX5WlIjA171zYlvLEPCUYlbT1sqnj9-dVk0hkMYMrUMHa4DaRwMhPoIREkWrG8iw/s1600/dry+sink.jpg" /></a></div><br />

They are very hard to come by. I search garage sales, flea markets and antique shops for these collectibles from the 40's and 50's and this is all I've gotten. What's your favorite collectible?<br />

These bowls are my set of Nelson McCoy yellow ware bowls which date to around 1930's. This set of eight range in size from a 4" to an 11".
